You gave your time, energy, expertise and love on behalf of our shared mission to amplify marginalized voices, bring together diverse communities on issues that matter, and organize toward the real political change necessary to create a society in which every individual can thrive.

Here are some of The People’s Coalition highlights in 2025. Look at all we accomplished together!

A strong start for The People’s Coalition as we organized voters for the Michigan Democratic Party’s (MDP) February 2025 Convention:

• Engaged new and underrepresented voters to participate in the change-making process, voting for important state party leadership roles

• Held info/mobilizing sessions for new MDP voters in our coalition, to de-mystify the process and share logistics

• Endorsed a slate of over forty progressive candidates—students, elders, activists, workers and educators working for change across Michigan

Our efforts led to 40+ pro-justice and progressive leaders being elected at State, Caucus, and County party levels

Our advocacy and relationship-building efforts with a diverse group of State Central Committee members across Michigan this year contributed to finally passing several important resolutions, including a Gaza Solidarity Resolution in December 2025

We build community by listening and learning from community members!

• South Asian Community Meeting with electeds, Southeast Michigan - November 

• Public Comment at the State Board of Education for LGBT inclusion, Lansing - November

We cohosted and cosponsored rallies and solidarity demonstrations with community organizations across the state to build awareness on issues that Michiganders can unite on, including:

As The People’s Coalition expands our efforts throughout the community and in key elections, our costs will also grow. We have an ambitious (and necessary) fundraising goal of $20,000, which will cover costs for essential needs to mobilize our statewide movement: flyers, lit, mailers, texting, event costs, field organizing costs and phonebanking.

One-time donations OR Recurring donations allow us to have the funds we need on-hand for those crucial building steps. Organizations are welcome to donate as well.
